What is BAFA funding?
BAFA funding (Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control) helps companies modernise their operations with energy-efficient technologies. Investments that lead to a sustainable reduction in energy consumption are eligible for funding. Thanks to their modern technology, KEMPER extraction systems contribute to reducing energy demand. For eligible investments, grants of up to 45% are available.
Funding requirements:
- The company must be based in Germany.
- The system must achieve verifiable energy savings. With modern KEMPER extraction systems, this requirement can usually be met without difficulty.
- The application must be submitted before ordering the system.

WHICH GRANT APPLIES TO YOUR COMPANY?

Up to 45% funding
Small companies with fewer than 50 employees and less than €10 million in turnover or total assets.

Up to 35% funding
Medium-sized companies with 50 to 250 employees and less than €50 million in turnover or €43 million in total assets.
✔
Up to 25% funding
Large companies with 250 or more employees or more than €50 million in turnover and more than €43 million in total assets.
EXAMPLE CALCULATIONS FOR FUNDED KEMPER EXTRACTION SYSTEMS
Below are two examples of BAFA funding. The examples include a source extraction system and a push-pull system. In both cases, the level of funding depends on the annual operating hours of the systems. For these calculations, we assume 250 working days per year:
Single-shift operation
approx. 6 operating hours/day
= 1,500 operating hours/year
Two-shift operation
approx. 12 operating hours/day
= 3,000 operating hours/year
